EIBACH-THE WILL TO WIN - 11.30.2010

Corona, Calif. (November 30, 2010) — Eibach-supported teams and racers never give up their will to win. One of Vildosola Racing's lifelong team goal has been to win the overall of the Baja 1000 and that dream became a reality this November through Mexico's Baja California Peninsula.
The race kicked off with Tavo Vildosola behind the wheel and co-driver Javi Valenzuela in the passenger seat in the second starting position. Despite suffering two flat tires in one day, Tavo and Javi made up the majority of the time by the driver switch at mile 334 in El Crucero. At that time, Gus, the patriarch of Vildosola Racing, got behind the wheel of the Red Bull-sponsored No. 21 Trophy Truck with Sergio Reyna as his co-driver. Gus and Sergio's time in the desert was consistent and thankfully uneventful and smooth until the next driver switch at San Ignacio.
Tavo and Javi regained the driver's seat, but shortly after passing checkpoint eight in Santa Rita, the duo experienced an issue with the transmission and completely lost first gear. The bright side of the gear loss was they had a minute lead on the next pair. Careful driving by Tavo and tactile guiding by Javi lead the duo to the finish line to give Vildosola Racing a record-finishing time of 19 hours and 4 seconds and the team their first Baja 1000 overall title; Vildosola Racing also became the first Mexican national team to win the legendary race.
It was a full podium sweep for Eibach Springs as supported racers Robby Gordon and Roger Norman finished second and third, respectively.
Eibach Springs couldn't be prouder of our good friends and supporting team at Vildosola Racing—congratulations to Tavo, Javi, Gus and Sergio on this awesome accomplishment!

World Rally Championship
The FIA World Rally Championship season came to a close at the Wales Rally GB on November 15 and Ford bid farewell to the record-breaking Focus World Rally Car that performed great feats throughout the circuit. The Ford Focus picked up two manufacturer's championships, 44 Rally victories and 100 podiums during its 12 year stretch.
BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally team drivers Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila put the Focus RS on the podium one last time and that third-place finish was just enough the team needed to secure the runner-up position in the 2010 FIA World Rally Championship point standings.
The Ford Fiesta RS WRC is replacing the Focus in WRC action for 2011 and has already tested with tremendous results.

Audi Motorsport
The Audi R8 LMS left a strong first impression on its first outing in GT3 competition on the street circuit of Macau. Two Audi drivers piloted their R8's to podium finishes in the Macau GT Cup; KK Performance's Marchy Lee fought his way to the runner-up position in the 30-car field, as United Autosports Danny Watts rounded out the podium in the third position.
